The Grand Travel Award, organized by TravelNews.no, is the Norwegan travel industry’s “Oscar Awards”. Here, the industry itself chooses a number of winners in various categories for the previous year. This year, Lofoten won “tourist destination of the year”. The other nominees were Tromsø, Oslo, Bergen and Åndalsnes.

The winner of the “2022 Sustainability Award” went to Thon Hotel Lofoten and Thon Hotel Svolvær. The prize is awarded by HSMAI Norway.
