In Kabelvåg, only a 7-min drive from Svolvær, Cathinka Mælum found her perfect spot to establish her very own glass cabin. A small village with rich history that stretches back 8000 years. And at her glass cabin, true magic is being created before your very own eyes as you watch her in action.
Lofoten Glass also offer some transfer in knowledge through workshops in making glass beads. During this experience, you can get a sense of what it’s like to work with liquid glass in front of the flames. It’s an experience for everyone, and you’ll end up with your very own finished product.
If that’s not enough to quench your thirst for artistic endeavours, Cathinka also organises evening events where she demonstrates her craft. You can watch closely how she makes her designs and different the different techniques she uses.
