The feeling of your mother’s old kitchen is what greets you when you enter our restaurant. A delightful atmosphere warmed by the fireplace, serving traditional northern Norwegian dishes. Restaurant Kjøkkenet was an early pioneer in featuring boknafisk (semi-dried cod) and rhubarb on the menu — items that were once considered everyday fare in the North, rather than delicacies. Today, these have become quite common on menus across the region.

Restaurant Kjøkkenet offers a cozy, rustic, and relaxing atmosphere — perfect for a romantic dinner or a quality meal by the fireplace with family and friends. Many businesses also choose to meet over a good meal with us. The restaurant has 42 seats, so remember to book in advance!
