Lofoten fishing is today one of the world’s largest and most famous cod fisheries!
Every winter, large numbers of Norwegian Arctic cod, also called Skrei, swim from the Barents Sea to Lofoten to spawn.
Lofoten fishing has been the basis of life for the population for several millennia.
The Hanssen brothers were born and raised in Svolvær. When our parents and grandparents were actively fishing and whaling, it became natural that we grew up out at sea.
Every winter we also do commercial fishing and get to take an active part in the adventurous and fantastic Lofoten fishing, which has had such a great impact on our upbringing, but also on our ancestors!
Out on the Lofoten Sea we want to try our luck at fishing, and since we know the area and the fishing spots well, the chances to get fish are always very good!
You will receive good guidance from our crew, both when it comes to fishing, fishing gear and safety procedures.
If you want to take your catch with you, back home, you are of course
welcome to do that!
We can fillet your catch together out at sea.
You can prepare your fish to a delicious dinner!
Hot drinks are served on board.
You can borrow fishing equipment and floating -/ warmsuit from us.
It is recommended to wear good and warm clothes.
