Wild, beautiful, and raw – Lofoten is best experienced from the sea! Aboard our sailboats, you’ll gain access to places few others can reach, where dramatic mountains meet pristine white beaches and remote, roadless fjords. Our experienced, local skippers will guide you to Lofoten’s hidden gems, no matter the season. Join us and experience the magic of the archipelago!
Lofoten is a popular travel destination, but from a sailboat, you’ll see it from an entirely new perspective. We sail from historic fishing villages to untouched coves, just as our ancestors did before us. Along the way, you’ll experience hiking, kayaking, fishing—and for those who dare, surfing on Lofoten’s world-famous waves.
The journey begins in Svolvær, where we set sail southward toward the iconic Reine and Reinefjorden. Surrounded by postcard-perfect landscapes, this is the ideal starting point for mountain hikes, kayaking, and fishing. From there, we continue to the charming and historic fishing village of Nusfjord before sailing northward along the outer coast of Lofoten. We pass through the tidal current of Nappstraumen and head to Unstad.
At Unstad, you’ll have the chance to try surfing or stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) at one of Europe’s most spectacular surf destinations. We then sail to the small island of Skrova. Though only 281 meters above sea level, the summit offers a breathtaking 360-degree view of the Lofoten Wall to the west, Vestfjorden to the south, and Steigen to the east.
Our adventure concludes with a sail into the dramatic Trollfjord, passing through the stunning Raftsundet strait, before returning to Svolvær. Here, we pack up after an unforgettable week filled with nature experiences, sailing, and new friendships.
As with all our trips, you will be an active part of the crew. You’ll learn to sail, challenge yourself, and return home with new skills, unforgettable memories—and perhaps, friends for life!
