Sail to Lofoten – just as Norwegians have done for millennia. Experience Lofoten in the most traditional way—with the wind in your sails and the sea as your path. This trip is a shorter version of our popular Lofoten sailing adventures, but still offers extraordinary experiences along the way.
We begin in Bodø, where we get to know each other and the boat before casting off and setting course northward. Sailing between islands and skerries, we head toward Steigen and Nordskot, where we find a sheltered harbor for the night.
After some sailing practice, we prepare to cross the Vestfjord. Upon reaching Skrova—the island that was the heart of Lofoten’s whaling industry for centuries—new adventures await. Here, you can paddle a kayak through crystal-clear waters or hike to the summit for a spectacular 360-degree view.
Next, we sail into the dramatic landscapes of Trollfjord and Raftsundet, where the mountains grow steeper and wilder with every nautical mile. Perhaps we’ll have time for a refreshing swim before setting course for Svolvær, where we sail into port under the evening sun.
On the final morning, we pack up the boat, enjoy one last breakfast at a local bakery, and say our goodbyes—or perhaps just “see you again”?
As with all our trips, you will be part of the crew. You’ll learn to sail, challenge yourself, and experience a true sense of achievement, all while creating memories and friendships for life.
