Svinøya is the oldest part of Svolvær, and has been a thriving, vibrant fishing village since 1828. Svinøya is a miniature-Lofoten, and is still a vibrant fishing village. In the town of Svolvær, with fish processing plant, iconic stockfish racks, fishing cabins (rorbuer), art galleries, old wodden houses, and the fish restaurant, Børsen Spiseri. All surrounded by the majestic Lofoten mountains and sea.
