Holmen Lofoten, on the shores of Norway’s wild and rugged Lofoten Islands in the Arctic Circle, is a tiny, family run hotel set amongst a huddle of converted fisherman’s cabins. One cannot help but embrace all the forces of nature in this dramatic setting surrounded by sea and mountains with the weather wild and ever changing.
‘Wild and wonderful.. something between a restaurant with rooms, a luxury safari camp and a boutique hotel’ – The Telegraph
‘An epic location.. a kind of eco-hotel hung on the edge of a fjord in Northern Norway looking out at a great mountain’ – Financial Times
Kitchen On The Edge is a long weekend culinary adventure like no other where activities include a sea fishing trip (some of the best in the world), foraging trips with the chefs, craft sessions (ceramics, knife-making or model-making), a cocktail workshop on the water’s edge, cooking demos, wild swimming, mountain hiking, a RIB ride, bonfire picnics and wildlife expeditions – changing throughout the year as the seasons shift. And of course each evening the feast unfolds with the produce caught, picked and gathered by the group.
