Fishing Heritage
Step into a traditional rorbu (fisherman’s cabin) and explore Lofoten’s centuries-old connection between fishing and food. Surrounded by maritime artifacts, a local expert will share stories about cod fishing, stockfish production, and the Arctic diet. This immersive experience gives you a deeper understanding of how Lofoten’s dramatic nature and rich seas have shaped its food culture through generations.
Cinnamon Bun Workshop
Travel on to the charming fishing village of Henningsvær, where you’ll join a hands-on baking class. Guided by a local baker, you’ll roll, shape, and bake your own cinnamon buns – one of Scandinavia’s most beloved treats. Fresh out of the oven, you’ll enjoy your pastries with a steaming cup of coffee in a cozy café – a delicious moment of true Norwegian comfort.
Local Tastings
The tour wouldn’t be complete without sampling Lofoten’s flavors. You’ll taste a range of local specialties – from cured meats and smoked fish to unique cheeses and seasonal surprises. Every bite reflects the traditions and quality of Arctic produce. With Lofoten’s dramatic scenery as a backdrop, this tasting session is the perfect finale to your food adventure.
