Out here, we have the opportunity to do what we love: show you just how good food from Northern Norway tastes. At the same time, it is important to us to create food on nature’s terms.
Nature is our true boss. The weather, the wind, the rain, and the sun dictate when our vegetables are ready to harvest. The grass and the herbs in the fields determine how delicious our lamb tastes. The clean, fresh, nutrient-rich sea in the north is the secret behind the flavor of our fish. We hope Kvitnes becomes a gateway drug to all the tastes and nature this region has to offer.
Based on the ingredients we find and cultivate, we serve a tasting menu lasting about four hours. Our restaurant seats approximately 30 guests.
Additionally, we have 15 unique double rooms on the farm. After your meal, you can stroll upstairs or across the courtyard to your cozy, freshly made bed.
The next morning, you can wake up to a view of the Lofoten Wall or listen to the southwest wind whip against the window. Perhaps you’ll take a walk to greet the animals before enjoying a hearty breakfast in the restaurant.
And hopefully, you’ll rediscover how good it feels to have time on your hands. At Kvitnes Gård, we firmly believe that good things take time to become great, and we look forward to showing you the proof.
Kvitnes Gård are situated on Hadsel Innland not far from Raftsundet. The easiet way to rech us if you are not travelling by sea is on road 822, about 40 minutes from Sortland by car. Or you can take the small ferry from Hanøy and then drive 10 minutes from Kaljord.
When you arrive Kvitnes GÃ¥rd you will see a big yellow barn close to the road. Our guest parking is just beside this building. To check in just walk over to the white house where one of us will greet you.
