Previously, the beach has been voted as Norway&#8217;s best beach. It is situated about a 10-minute drive away from Leknes, on the north side of Vestv\u00e5g\u00f8y.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-haukland-beach-visitor-centre\">Haukland Beach Visitor Centre<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Haukland Beach is one of Lofoten\u2019s most iconic and beloved spots, located on the outer coast of Vestv\u00e5g\u00f8y. Just a short detour from the Norwegian Scenic Route Lofoten, it offers a perfect blend of dramatic mountain scenery and white sandy shoreline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To meet the growing number of visitors while protecting the stunning coastal landscape, Haukland Beach has been carefully upgraded with new facilities. A modern service building now houses a cozy caf\u00e9, clean sanitary facilities, and storage for local activity equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Outside, you\u2019ll find well-marked walking paths that make it easy to explore the area on foot, along with an expanded car park designed to accommodate about 100 cars. There are also four accessible parking spaces, nine dedicated motorhome spots, and bays for two buses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All of these improvements have been thoughtfully integrated into the landscape to preserve Haukland\u2019s unique natural beauty. The project is a collaborative effort between Nordland County Council, Vestv\u00e5g\u00f8y Municipality, and the Norwegian Scenic Routes program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-beach-cafe\">The Beach Caf\u00e9<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Need a little boost between swimming (or dipping your toe), sunbathing, and taking photos? The parking fee is used to conserve, maintain and protect this beautiful spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tip:<\/strong> On the hottest summer days, the busiest time at Haukland Beach is between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Parking fee:<\/strong> 20 NOK hour*<br><strong>Methods of payment:<\/strong> EasyPark (app), parking meter, or pay inside the caf\u00e9 during opening hours<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">*20 first minutes is free. <strong>NOTE<\/strong>: <em>Payment and\/or registration must be completed immediately after parking. Maximum parking time is 16 hours. Example: You arrive at 6 pm, you have to leave at 10:20 am the following day.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Parking reservation (B2B)<\/strong>: To secure parking for your bus at Haukland Beach, advance booking is required. Keep in mind that there is certain areas you are NOT allowed to tent. Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hauklandbeach.no\/tenting.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignfull has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile has-white-background-color has-background\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-a-fantastic-cultural-landscape\">A fantastic cultural landscape<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the Uttakleiv\/Haukland\/Vik area, the grazing animals work hard for both residents and tourists. This region is characterized by a limestone-rich soil, which provides an excellent natural grazing pasture where the animals thrive. Their efforts ensure the preservation of this natural habitat, and on the mountainsides, the grazing animals play a crucial role in preventing overgrowth of the grass-covered slopes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The farm Haukland, which has given its name to the beach, has been written in various ways throughout history: Hawkland, Haukland, Huckland, Huchland, Hochland, Nedrehougland, and \u00d8wherhougland. According to &#8220;Rygh,&#8221; the name partly derives from the bird name Haukr and the river name Hauka. The farm is situated in a sheltered location, with mountains on three sides providing protection from wind and weather. The fertile soil ensures abundant harvests year after year. Andersen, Uttakleiv<\/em>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the area around Haukland Beach, you will find beautiful hiking trails leading up to both <a href=\"https:\/\/visitlofoten.com\/en\/guide\/mannen-400-m\/\">Mannen<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/visitlofoten.com\/en\/guide\/himmeltinden-931-m\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Himmeltinden<\/a>. Not far away to the northwest lies <a href=\"https:\/\/visitlofoten.com\/en\/topic\/uttakleiv-beach\/\">Uttakleiv<\/a>, and to the south, you have Offers\u00f8ykammen, both of which are fantastic
